What's new in the Android app
ZeroLogs for Android has its own version numbers, apart from the website's. These are the notes testers read on Google Play when an update arrives, newest first, with the day each version was published to them.
The newest is 0.29.1, released 26 October 2026. The app is in a closed test that any rider can join: how to join.
0.29.1
26 October 2026Newest- On an account with one motorcycle, one tap sends every ride recorded with the phone alone to it, and the button says how many rides it sends.
0.29.0
26 October 2026- With miles in your profile, the ride screen says "after 1.2 mi" instead of "after 2 km", and its help texts use your units too.
- A motorcycle figure that stops updating, such as the cell voltages, is greyed with its age even while the other figures keep coming.
- If the server refuses part of a ride, the rides after it are still sent. The refused part stays on the phone and is tried again later.
- When you are signed out, the "ride kept on the phone" notification asks you to sign in.
0.28.0
26 October 2026- If the app cannot connect to your motorcycle, you can still ride with the phone only: it records the route and its motion, and the ride joins the motorcycle's log once you upload it.
0.27.0
26 October 2026- If Android closes ZeroLogs during a ride, the same ride continues when the app comes back within 10 minutes, and the app reconnects to the motorcycle.
- When the motorcycle's Bluetooth link drops during a ride, the app tries again by itself.
0.26.0
24 October 2026- Plainer wording across the app: messages, the Bike tab and the ride screen say things more simply, with the same meaning.
- Clearer messages when the phone is offline, when a log download stops early and when Bluetooth is off for the tyre sensors.
0.25.0
24 October 2026- Signed out by the server (another device, a new password, or expired): the Bike tab says so, and logs and rides wait on the phone until you sign in again. Before, they could be dropped.
- Phone storage full during a ride: the app no longer closes. The ride goes on in memory and is saved as soon as there is space.
- A log downloaded when the phone has no space left now says so, instead of "the connection dropped".
0.24.0
24 October 2026- When a ride ends with a live link still open, the app asks: stop sharing, or keep it. The question is on the Bike tab and in a notification, for a ride that ended with the phone in your pocket.
- "Keep sharing" holds for that link: the next ride of the same trip does not ask again.
- Stopping without signal (a garage) is no longer lost: the link closes as soon as the phone is back online.
0.23.0
23 October 2026- Share live now works on every ride, including rides with the phone alone: the link shows where you are from the start.
- On the live page your position is marked "Now", not "End".
- SR/F, SR/S, DSR/X, S/F and 2024+ (Bluetooth LE): the pairing finds the bike by name too, and the connection retries when Android's Bluetooth fails, re-reads the bike's services, and asks for a faster link while downloading logs.
0.22.0
23 October 2026- Tyre sensors follow your account: which sensor is on which wheel comes back on a second phone or after a reinstall, and the bike page on zerologs shows each sensor's battery.
- A change you make on the phone is never undone by an older one from another phone, whatever its clock says (tyre sensors and the ride dashboard).
0.21.0
23 October 2026- Your ride dashboard follows your account: the preset it opens on and the tiles you arranged come back on a second phone or after a reinstall.
- "Ride sent" now opens the ride itself, not the list of recordings.
- Tyre sensors: a low sensor battery is notified once, and a sensor silent for two weeks while you ride is flagged.
0.20.0
23 October 2026- Report a problem from the app (bottom of the Bike tab, and in Log): your words reach us as a ticket, with the technical log and phone details if you leave the box ticked. Answers come by email and on Feedback.
- If ZeroLogs closes unexpectedly, the error stays on the phone and the next launch offers to send it.
- Tyre sensors: more kinds are read (SYTPMS, iTPMS, FOBO, HRTPMS, TC.TPMS). Yours is missing? Record 30 s from the tyre screen and send it.
0.19.0
23 October 2026- New, being tested: Bluetooth LE motorcycles (SR/F, SR/S, DSR/X, S/F, and the S, SR, DS and DSR from 2024). Pair with the PIN the dash shows; battery, charge, odometer, speed, ride mode and the log download. Read-only, as on the other Zeros: it never sets the clock or any setting.
- A second motorcycle is easier to add: "Use another motorcycle" is now a full button.
- If something looks wrong, share the technical log (Log, top right).
0.18.1
18 October 2026- Fix: stopping a ride could close the app (the Bike tab read the ride database while the ride was being saved).
- Tyre sensors, as in 0.18.0: pair them in the Bike tab; both pressures on the dash; every reading kept with the ride.
0.18.0
18 October 2026- Tyre pressure sensors (BLE TPMS, "TPMSII" kits): pair them in the Bike tab; front and rear are proposed from the sensors themselves.
- Ride dashboard: both pressures in one line. Stopped, a tap shows each tyre in detail; a leak or a very low tyre goes to the banner.
- Every new reading is kept with the ride: on zerologs.bike, each ride's tyres and their trend over months.
0.17.0
18 October 2026- Rides recorded with the phone alone now upload: after the ride, say which of your motorcycles it was.
- Ride dashboard: tiles, the way home and a tile's explanation only when unlocked and stopped.
- If the motorcycle goes quiet, its figures turn grey with their age.
- The Range tile and the way-home card agree.
- Miles, mph, feet and °F if your profile uses them.
- No signal: the Bike tab still connects and records.
- Rides upload more reliably, with less data.
0.16.0
16 October 2026- The battery log (BMS) download now ends at the right size instead of running on.
- A two-part download shows both steps: 1/2 motorcycle log, 2/2 battery log.
- The app is in English, like the website.
- Dashboard: tiles of equal size, captions on one line, tap a tile (unlocked) to see what it shows.
- Altitude shows how much you went up and down.
- At night the weather shows the moon in tonight's phase.
0.15.2
16 October 2026- If a ride stops because Android closed the app, the app now says so when you open it, and how to prevent it (on Samsung: Never sleeping apps). If you closed it yourself, it reminds you to hold Stop.
0.15.1
16 October 2026- Ride dashboard with a large font size: the buttons' labels fit on one line ("Share live", the preset), the way-home hint is no longer cut.
0.15.0
16 October 2026- Sunlight: a "Sun" button on the ride dashboard makes every screen high-contrast — pure black, brighter text — for riding in direct sun. It stays on for the next ride.
- TalkBack: the dashboard's buttons work with a double-tap (and double-tap and hold for the ones that must be held), and each tile is read as one.
0.14.0
16 October 2026- The app speaks Italian: on a phone set to Italian, the ride dashboard, the notifications and the Bike tab are in Italian. The zerologs site stays in English for now.
- Android 13 and later: choose the app's language in Settings → Apps → ZeroLogs → Language.
0.13.0
16 October 2026- Speed: the dashboard measures how far your speedometer reads from GPS, and the speed colours follow the preset (City, Trip, Sport).
- Landscape: two columns, the buttons stay on screen.
- Getting started: a short checklist you can skip or resume.
- When something blocks the app (location off, notifications, an old version, low storage) it says so, with one button to fix it.
- The phone tidies up what is already on zerologs.
- Which Zero gets what, said plainly.
0.12.0
16 October 2026- Ride dashboard: hold a tile to choose what it shows; each value has its ride-so-far curve with the peak; bigger numbers; Range and Trip tiles.
- "Way home" is off until you choose: a saved place (Home, Work), today's first position, or where the trip started.
- A cleaner Bike tab.
- "On this phone": what is waiting to upload, readable offline; no network shows it instead of an error.
0.11.0
15 October 2026- The battery's log too: "MBB + BMS — full" downloads the motorcycle's log and then the battery's (charges, cells, the pack's history), as the official app does.
- The firmware of every board and the motorcycle's active faults, on the Bike tab.
- Fix: logs with blank flash pages now come out whole.
0.10.0
15 October 2026- The motorcycle's own readings, named: odometer, trip A/B, the dash's range, speedometer, motor and controller temperatures, armed and kickstand.
- Ride dashboard: the speedometer beside GPS speed, the dash's range in "Way home", a Motor tile (Sport).
- Warnings from the battery's own management: pack hot or cold, cells out of balance.
0.9.2
14 October 2026- Stopped with the motorcycle connected? The dashboard offers to take the day's log before you switch off, with the download's progress in place.
- The time quoted for a log download is your own last one.
- The ride summary says what only the motorcycle's log adds.
0.9.1
14 October 2026- Cell balance is judged at rest: the spread that grows when you accelerate hard is the cells' resistance, normal, and no longer raises a warning. A weak cell is judged for the load it is under.
- One log download at a time: repeated taps no longer start the download again and again.
- A tap on a button that must be held now says so.
0.9.0
14 October 2026- Dashboard presets: Trip (every Wh counts), Sport, City — change them from the chip at the top.
- The weather where you are, every 10 minutes: temperature, rain, and the wind as you meet it (head or tail).
- Your units from your zerologs profile: km or miles, °C or °F, m or ft.
- The ride summary shows the photos you took.
0.8.1
14 October 2026- Cell balance on the dashboard: the spread between the strongest and weakest cell in mV, coloured past 50 and 100 mV.
- A clearer ride dashboard: big numbers with icons, a speed gauge, the battery bar marked where the trip started, and "Can I get home?" in green, amber or red.
- Colours only when they mean it: low battery, a weak cell, a hot pack. The pack's temperature is now told apart from the electronics'.
- Rides start by themselves once you ride off with the bike connected.
0.8.0
14 October 2026- A clearer ride dashboard: big numbers with icons, a speed gauge, the battery bar marked where the trip started, and "Can I get home?" in green, amber or red.
- Colours only when they mean it: low battery, a weak cell, a hot pack. The pack's temperature is now told apart from the electronics'.
- Rides start by themselves once you ride off with the bike connected.
- The "log ready" notice opens what the new file added.
0.7.0
13 October 2026- A ride dashboard of its own, locked while you ride: energy left and the range at your pace, consumption, the grade, climb, the weakest cell. Hold a button to use it; it shows over the lock screen.
- Quick buttons: a photo goes into the ride and onto its trip on the site; share the ride live in one press.
- The phone stays awake for the whole ride, and any GPS gap is counted and shown.
0.6.0
13 October 2026- Rides start and stop by themselves: turn it on in the Bike tab, ride off with the motorcycle connected, and the ride records; stop for a few minutes or switch the bike off and it ends.
- Share a ride live: a link that shows where you are and the road so far, for as long as you choose. Nothing near where you start is shown, the battery only if you want.
- On the website, a ride recorded by the app appears in Trips straight away, before its log is downloaded.
0.5.4
13 October 2026- Help decode Zero motorcycles: an optional switch to share the motorcycle's raw readings (never your position), so the values nobody has named yet can be decoded across many bikes.
- Your marks in a decoding session are sent too, when sharing is on.
- My Bikes and the Dashboard show the motorcycle paired with this phone, one tap from the Bike tab.
0.5.3
13 October 2026- Guided pairing in three steps, with Zero's own instructions; the list shows only Zero motorcycles.
- The Bike tab says which bike of your account it is, with a link to My Bikes, or adds it.
- Two clear choices: Ride, or Download logs — with what MBB and BMS contain.
- Rides: a check before starting, a big live screen (speed, km, battery, energy, altitude), screen kept on, and a summary at the end.
0.5.2
13 October 2026- Bike tab: "Everything the motorcycle reports" — model and part number, the battery's own capacity and remaining Ah, every cell as a bar, all temperature probes, the controller's status bits.
- "Help decode the motorcycle": record what the bike sends while you mark key on, kickstand, ride mode or charger, and share the file. Works offline.
0.5.1
13 October 2026- A recorded ride joins its ride on the site: the route is added to it, now or as soon as that day's motorcycle log is uploaded. One ride, never two.
- The Bike screen follows a downloaded log live: waiting for a network, sending, ready with what it contains.
- A notification tells you when a ride is kept on the phone and when it has been sent.
- Fixed: one unreadable sample could close the app during a recording.
0.5.0
13 October 2026- One app: the Bike screen and your account now share one bottom bar, with the same icons as the site. No more screens opening on top of each other.
- Record a ride: GPS, the phone's motion sensors and, when connected, the motorcycle's battery readings.
- Without internet the ride is kept on the phone and sent when you are back online; with internet it is sent as you ride.
0.4.0
12 October 2026- The app now opens on your motorcycle: turn on Bluetooth, pair the bike and connect from the app.
- Live readings: battery %, pack voltage, Ah, the 28 cells and their balance, temperatures.
- Download the MBB log with every step shown — speed, pauses, each frame — even with no internet: it uploads later.
- A technical log you can share if the connection fails.
0.3.0
12 October 2026- New: download the log straight from your Gen2 Zero over Bluetooth. Pair the bike in Android's Bluetooth settings, then open This phone → Download the log from your motorcycle. Read-only: the app only asks the bike for its log, never changes a setting. About 6 minutes; the file then uploads like any other.
0.2.2
12 October 2026- Links from zerologs emails (sign-in, email verification, password reset) and links to your reports and dashboard now open in the app.
- Easier to read: no text smaller than 11 px on the phone, and the batteries page no longer scrolls sideways.
0.2.1
12 October 2026First test release of ZeroLogs for Android.
- Sign in and this phone is linked to your zerologs account.
- Upload .bin logs and console captures from the app, or share them from the Zero app or Files (Share → ZeroLogs).
- Uploads wait on the phone and go out by themselves when there is a connection, even with the app closed.
- A notification tells you when a log has been read, and opens the report.
The record runs back to 0.2.1, the first test release, published 12 October 2026. The closed test began with 0.18.1; the versions before it reached only the app's internal testers.
